Welcome to Franklin County!
Our county is made up of six friendly towns: Winchester (the county seat), Decherd (site of the Nissan manufacturing facility), Estill Springs, Cowan, Huntland and Sewanee (home of The University of the South).
Beautiful farms, rolling hills, picturesque valleys, 250 miles of Tims Ford Lake shoreline, and a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course make Franklin County one of Tennessee's hidden gems. We enjoy gorgeous summer sun and mild winters. Living in Franklin County is a little like being on vacation all the time!
